Yacht chefs earn $48,000 to $160,000+ a year and tips on top of that!

With all expenses covered including flights, accommodation, meals and even down to your toiletries!
And most people have no idea how to get hired.

This is for you if:

  • You're a chef/cook stuck in the kitchen grind doing the same thing day in and out and ready for more in life.
  • You're drawn to travel, adventure, and seeing the world while you work.
  • You're willing to work hard, build something far bigger and get ahead in life.
  • Eventually getting rotation and having half the year off and getting paid the same salary every month!

This might not be for you if:

  • You're not okay with tight spaces and long days
  • You need to be home every night
  • Being away from home for months at a time
  • Don't like to travel

Why I'm giving this away

Because too many chefs waste thousands of dollars and months of their life trying to break into yachting blind. Module 1 is where you start. My story, the honest pros and the honest cons, so you can see what this life really looks like before you spend a cent on certificates or flights.

Start with Module 1. It's free.

Enter your email and it opens on the next page.

No card needed. It is free. If the email is not in your inbox within a few minutes, check your junk or spam folder and mark it as safe.

What you'll learn in your free module:

  • My story — dishwasher at 15, 14 years at sea, up to an 88m charter yacht, and what it cost me to get there
  • Why cooking is the easy part — you can already cook. That's maybe 30% of this job. The other 70% is what nobody shows you
  • The honest pros — zero rent, zero food bills, the money you actually keep, and equal time rotation once you get there
  • The honest cons — long days, tight spaces, months away from home, and who this life genuinely does not suit
  • Where to start — the first step of the route, before you spend a cent

Module 1 is the opening, not the whole answer. What it does not do is show you how to get in, in what order, or what the job is actually like once you are on board. That is Modules 2 to 6 — and working through all of them is how you find out whether this life is yours, while already learning how to do it properly.

Leandri Kersch

I worked with Dean on Arience about 5 years ago now, hands down the best
head chef I ever had. He really taught me so many foundational trick of the
trade, and chef hacks, that now to this day I still use - as a sole chef on
50metres. Definitely grateful to have him as a mentor, he’s one of the goats!

Sean Connolly

Working under [Dean] not only did I acquire new cooking techniques but
also adapted a new management style as well as essential communication
skills with both guests and crew. His cool demeanour allows for calmness in
the most heated moments and his strong work ethic pairs well with the daily
challenges of running a galley. All in all 10/10!

Dean is an exceptional chef and an
even better leader. Calm under pressure, incredibly knowledgeable, and
always willing to take the time to teach and support his team. I genuinely credit a lot of my development as a yacht chef to his guidance
and mentorship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this actually free, or is there a catch?

Yes, completely free. No credit card, no hidden fee. Module 1 is the first part of the full course and I give it away because I would rather you start properly than guess.

Do I need any yacht experience to understand this?

None at all. This is built for chefs who have never set foot on a yacht. You can already cook, and that is the easy part. The hard part is the other 70% of the job that nobody shows you.

Will Module 1 tell me whether this job is right for me?

Honestly, no — not on its own. It shows you the life and whether you are drawn to it. But you cannot tell whether you can actually live this life from one module. You tell from seeing the whole job: the watch duties, the charter weeks, the months away, the crew you live on top of. That is Modules 2 to 6, and working through all of it is the honest way to find out before you spend money on certificates, flights or visas.

So what happens after Module 1?

If you want the rest, the full course picks up exactly where Module 1 stops — the whole route in order, from what to do first through to doing the job well enough to keep it, earn the references and move up to equal time rotation. Finish it and you will know, and if the answer is yes you are already trained for it.

Is this just a sales pitch in disguise?

Module 1 is honest about what this job actually is, including the parts that put people off. If you watch it and decide yachting is not for you, that is a good outcome — you found out without spending thousands.

Hey I'm Dean, your instructor!

Hey, I’m Dean Harrison, an Australian chef who’s spent the last 14 years cooking for billionaires, celebrities, and crew on some of the world’s most luxurious charter yachts up to 88m.

My journey started in 2004, when I was a rebellious 15-year-old who couldn’t stand school but loved being in the kitchen. My first job was as a dishwasher and prep cook, chopping parsley for hours while the chefs laughed from the back steps. It wasn’t glamorous...but it taught me grit, discipline, and a love for the chaos of the kitchen.

After years of working my way up through fine dining restaurants, resorts, dive boats, chalets and cafes, I discovered yachting and it completely changed my life. Over the last 14 years, I’ve cooked everywhere from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean, Asia, and the South Pacific. I’ve worked in private residences, private islands, and superyachts that travel to places most people will never see.

Yachting gave me freedom — financial, personal, and creative. But it also came with challenges that no one warns you about. That’s why I created this course: to share everything I wish I knew before I started. From getting your first job and managing demanding guests to building a long-term career that funds the life you want, this is the roadmap I wish I had when I began.

Now, my goal is simple, firstly it is to see if you'd be the right fit working on super yachts, and secondly, help you break into this dream lifestyle the smart way, without wasting time or money on the wrong path.

It is free, and it is the first step of the route. See what this life actually looks like, then decide whether you want the rest of it — the certificates in order, the ports, the CV, and everything that happens after you walk on board.
